From now to 31 August, dig into Crystal Jade Kitchen’s exclusive crab creations specially created to commemorate the upcoming national day. Weighing 600 to 800g each, the large and meaty Sri Lankan crabs are prepared in five styles here – chilli crab, white pepper crab, salted egg yolk crab, as well as in lighter styles that showcase the natural sweetness of the juicy crustaceans, such as the steamed crab with Chinese hua diao wine, and sautéed crab with ginger and scallion. Between 6 – 12 August, DBS/POSB cardholders and Jadeite members also get to enjoy crabs at a special price of $53, with a minimum spend of $50.

Feast on delectable crustaceans at The Wonders of Pincers, a buffet celebrating the freshest crustaceans cooked in a tantalising variety of styles. From now till 31 October, tuck into wok hei-laden chilli crab and black pepper crab, or the fragrant salted egg yolk crab, perfectly flavoured with chili padi, curry leaves and salted egg yolk. A healthier take on the crab is also available here – the rock salt baked crab, infused with ginger and dang gui – a herb that helps to boost blood circulation – is as nutritious as it is delicious. For lobster lovers, the pumpkin lobster in claypot delights, with succulent lobster combined with sweet pumpkin puree infused with locally-sourced herbs. Besides crustaceans, Ginger’s live barbecue station also offers up a plethora of fresh seafood such as stingray, prawn, squid and shellfish cooked à la minute on the open grill. Flavourful and authentic Singaporean dishes can be found at Ah Hoi’s Kitchen, a well-loved restaurant serving up local favourites such as Sri Lankan crabs fused with mouth-watering flavours. Besides the classic chilli crab and black pepper crab, the Ah Hoi’s Kitchen head chef Tiger has introduced a brand new creation: salted egg crab with crispy yam strips. The sauce, an aromatic blend of salted egg yolks with chilli padi and butter, is infused with a touch of “wok hei”. Then large juicy crab pieces and crispy yam strips are tossed and coated with this rich, smoky, salted egg sauce, resulting in an addictive sweet-savoury dish. All crabs go for $75.
